­­The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has an excellent opportunity for an Advanced Pediatric Interventional Therapeutic Endoscopy Physician to join their team. This position holds an affiliated faculty appointment as an Assistant/ Associate Professor - Clinical Gastroenterology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

The ideal candidate will provide both hospital-based and ambulatory patient care to children presenting with digestive disorders, complex nutritional and intestinal failure to our pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition services, as well as to teach residents, medical students, and fellows.

This is also an opportunity to be the Associate Medical Director of Interventional Therapeutic Endoscopy “InTEC” center and the Pancreas Care Center “PCC.”

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is a very collegial environment and is currently ranked as the #1 pediatric gastroenterology program in US News and World Report. The division is committed to promoting initiative-taking individuals and we develop individualized mentoring plans for junior faculty. There may be opportunities to collaborate with other centers and/or programs of excellence that are situated with the Division.

Applicant Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O. or equivalent medical degree
  • History of academic accomplishments suitable for a faculty appointment as an Assistant/Associate Professor
  • Completion of an accredited pediatric gastroenterology fellowship training program in the United States or Canada or on track to complete an accredited 3-year pediatric gastroenterology fellowship program this coming fiscal year.
  • Additional training in Advanced interventions including ERCP is required.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics

Prior experience in a complex academic medical setting is a plus
